For submitting a Web Link you do not need to login
A very good way to get on the Incline Schools website is to first realize that we'd love to have you provide a link on your site to the Incline Schools. Please provide the following code snippet to your webmaster:
The <a href="http://www.inclineschools.org">Incline Village Schools</a>, unique amongst <a style="color: rgb(0, 102, 153); text-decoration: none; " href="http://www.inclineschools.org/">Lake Tahoe schools</a>.
Relevant local organizations can then submit a Web Link for consideration. In your message, simply provide:
- your contact information
- name of your organization
- URL for your web homepage
- suggested category (e.g. recreation & sports, social services, etc.)
- brief comments on why you believe your site relates to and complements the Incline Schools

For posting Community Events you do not need to login
We've chosen to categorize events as:
- dealing with one or more of the Incline public schools (e.g. school registration event, sports event)
- spanning the Incline Schools (e.g. presentation of K-thru-12 reading program)
- community events not directly related to the schools (e.g. speaker at county library, dance class at rec center)
If you're interested in posting an event in categories 1 or 2, then go to the article School Calendars for posting school events.
If you'd like to post a "Community Event" (category 3), you should do so by simply clicking on this community calendar submittal form for the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza. (link to the Bonanza site provided here for convenience)
Events that you submit to the Bonanza are then available both on the tahoebonanza.com site and also provided as a Calendar feed (Calendar, Community) on this Incline Schools site (i.e. you get double exposure for one data entry effort!).

- spanning the Incline Schools (e.g. presentation of K-thru-12 reading program)
- community events not directly related to the schools (e.g. speaker at county library, dance class at rec center)
If you're instead posting a Community Event (category 3) then read this article.

First a question... are you wanting to announce somethings that occurs on a given date or range of dates? Then this is primarily a Calendar Event and you'll want to first create that event by following the article Submit an Event to the School Calendar. You can return to this article once you've created the event if, and only if, you also want a News blurb to bring extra attention to your event.

Embed Content from External Site

Rather than replicating content from collaborating sites (e.g. InclineSchools.org, InclineHS.org), try the following:
- find the article on the other site that you'd like to embed
- click the Print icon to open just the article (without all the navigation areas)
- this will popup a window... Copy the URL for this window into your paste buffer
- create a new article on your site
- toggle your edit area to "source or html" mode
- enter the following:
- <iframe src="/Paste the URL here" width="100%" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
- (you may need to adjust the height parameter above
- set the Author, Section and Category as you would normally
- if you're creating this article in the Joomla backend, you'll likely want to "hide" the article title, author, creation date, print icon, and email icon (because these will appear with the embedded article)
- Save
