The Incline High School AP US Government "We the People" class, taught by Milt Hyams, has been named the Western Region Award Winner at the WTP National Finals in Washington, DC.  These awards are presented to five schools, one in each geographical region, with the highest cumulative score during the first 2 days of competition.

Directed by the Center for Civic Education and funded by the US Department of Education, 52 teams (representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Saipan) competed in a rigorous congressional hearing format during which teams present and defend testimonies on six different aspects of the US Constitution.
