Dear Parent or Guardian; January 31, 2018

Beginning on February 2nd the eleventh grade students will be receiving the materials and the information in order to submit their course requests for the next school year, 2018-2019.
I am enclosing a copy of the directions, a Junior Interview, a fifth semester transcript, the Course Offerings list, WCSD Requirements for Graduation, a credit checker, and the Course selection sheet to be returned to the Counseling Office or Mrs. Henderson. We will be entering the course requests into the IC during the week of February 14th.
It is a requirement that all parents and their students meet with their counselor to discuss his or her schedule for the senior year and to discuss post high school plans. During this meeting, we will recreate (if needed) a desired senior schedule that includes the courses and credits needed for the diploma of their choice. We will discuss post-high school plans such as college admissions, anticipated majors, college testing (ACT, SAT, AP and Subject tests), college searches, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), NCAA, community service hours, scholarship opportunities, letters of recommendation, and any questions and concerns that you might have. It would be most advantageous to meet with you and your student during the weeks of the 5th of February through March when all students will be entering the course requests. Please call or email to request an appointment.
You can find additional information regarding the high school graduation requirements, diploma options and course descriptions in the 2018-2019 High School Course Offerings Catalogue. It should be available on the WCSD website:
Summer School information will be available in April. Extended Studies information is available on the
